Mardi Himal Trek Information
The Mardi himal Trek is a fresh and newly founded route. It’s a hidden treasure of the Annapurna region. Mardi himal also the best destination to have a beautiful experience in the Himalayas. This new trekking destination could be the absolutely great place to look the imaging view of the Annapurna South, mt. Dhaulagiri, mt. Machhapuchhre, mt. Hiunchuli and mt. manaslu. Mardi himal base camp, sidhing village and lwang are the major attraction of the trekk. The trail goes up through the forest at the elevation around 3300 meter. There is a right turn by deurali ” forest camp” trail is through jungle the undulating views can be seen from top of the ridge. The step way in the forest is much fun to walk.
The trail leaves the Low Camp and about an hour trekking in the jungle and getting to the open ridge with spectacular views of mt. Machhapuchhre ahead and mt. Annapurna south by left are amazing views. The trek is still continuing and walk about 4 to 5 hours to the Mardi himal base camp (4500m) and return to high camp another 4hrs walk really makes a long day but, the majestic view of Mardi himal can see from high camp . Then after we trek down to low camp when we arrive in the low camp we trek to sidhing village, ghale village and lwang village and from driving to Pokhara mention the end of the trek of wonderful place.
Best Time to Trek: The best time to undertake the Mardi Himal Trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These periods offer clear skies, stable weather, and the best views of the mountains.
Trek Difficulty: The Mardi Himal Trek is considered a moderate trek, suitable for trekkers with a reasonable level of fitness. The trek involves some steep ascents and descents but is manageable for most trekkers.

Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Kande and Trek to Deurali (2,125m)
- Start your journey with a drive from Pokhara to Kande, the starting point of the trek.
- Trek through lush forests and terraced fields, passing through the Australian Camp before reaching Deurali.
Day 2: Deurali to Forest Camp (2,520m)
- Continue your trek through dense rhododendron and oak forests, gradually ascending to Forest Camp.
- Enjoy the peaceful ambiance and connect with nature as you trek away from the more popular routes.
Day 3: Forest Camp to High Camp (3,580m)
- Ascend through the forest and reach the open ridges, offering stunning views of Machapuchare and the Annapurna range.
- Arrive at High Camp, where you’ll spend the night, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
Day 4: Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m) and Return to High Camp
- Begin the day with an early morning hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp, the highlight of the trek.
- Soak in the panoramic views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchare, and Annapurna South before descending back to High Camp.
Day 5: High Camp to Siding Village (1,750m)
- Descend through the forested trail to the charming Siding Village, a traditional settlement where you can experience local hospitality.
Day 6: Trek to Lumre and Drive Back to Pokhara
- Trek from Siding Village to Lumre, passing through small villages and terraced fields.
- From Lumre, take a scenic drive back to Pokhara, where your trek concludes.

- Accommodation: 2 nights hotel in Pokhara before and after the trek, teahouse accommodations during the trek.
