Tibet Overland Tour from Kathmandu - 8 Days Lhasa Tour
Are you ready to tick off one of the world’s most epic overland
adventures? This 8-day Tibet Overland Tour is perfect if you're seeking
something beyond the ordinary. This tour is a mix of high-altitude beauty,
ancient culture, and spiritual experiences all packed into one unforgettable
trip.
Your journey begins in Kathmandu and crosses the Himalayan
border at Gyirong, offering panoramic views of Mt. Shishapangma and other
snow-capped mountains. From there, the tour weaves through the cultural heart
of Tibet, including the historic cities of Shigatse and Gyantse,
before reaching the capital, Lhasa.
Along the way, you will visit the majestic Potala Palace,
Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Market, Tibet’s most iconic landmarks.
You’ll also explore age-old monasteries like Drepung and Sera,
where you can also witness traditional monk debates.
This trip is best between April and October, when the
skies are clear and the weather is mild. Although the altitude may be high
(over 3,500 m), our itinerary is designed to help you adjust gradually,
minimizing the risk of altitude sickness.
And don’t worry about your logistics. Nepal Boundary
Trekking takes care of your logistics. From Tibet travel permits, group visa,
or private transportation, local guides, accommodations, and monument fees, all
sorted for you so that you can enjoy your trip. Plus, there’s the option to fly
back to Kathmandu at the end of your trip, or you can extend your adventure to the Everest Base Camp Trek (north) or Namtso Lake.
